Discover the Origin

The Hooghoudt distillery in Groningen, the Netherlands, is a fourth-generation family distillery and the birthplace of De Borgen jenever. De Borgen goes back to the origins of gin and draws on the rich, over 400-year-old history of jenever, which is reflected in the use of traditional production methods. It is the combination of malt spirit, maturation in Sherry-Oloroso casks and selected botanicals that gives De Borgen spirits their profound character.
