Für die Herstellung des Fettercairn 16 Jahre wird ausschließlich Gerstenmalz verwendet. Die Reifung erfolgt in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern aus amerikanischer Weißeiche, was dem Whisky seine charakteristischen Aromen verleiht. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 46,4% wird Fettercairn 16 YO Release non-chill filtered und mit natural colour abgefüllt.
